- Reviewed in the United States on August 1, 2016This book is exactly what I need! I read some dog training articles over the internet, but I still can't find the perfect procedure for me and my dogs. I am glad when I found this book. I learned a lot from it. It does not only explains how to train your dog, but it makes you train yourself first. How are you going to create a tie between you and your dogs, how are you going to handle their emotions, and how making yourself their masters. It also has different techniques and activities which will make your tie becomes stronger. It's a very helpful book. All dog lovers should read this, to make your bonding with your dog more productive. It was an excellent read!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 5, 2016I have thought of adopting a dog, but I’m always anxious about training one. I do not have enough experience in raising dogs that’s why I bought this book. I figured, I have to at least learn from the book before getting into the “real thing”. I think this book is helpful in some way especially with the basics. One of my biggest concerns in raising a dog is potty training, so I’m really glad that this book contains that information. The basic commands are also taught in this book like: stop, wait, stay, “no jumping”, getting inside the crate etc. However, I have just one important concern. I have encountered a few spelling mistakes like for the words “than” and “you’re”. I find some instructions hard to understand because of the way it’s been written. I think it would’ve been better if the book includes figures or drawing in explaining how to do the gestures. Nonetheless, if you’re not very particular with grammar then this book can be of help.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 2, 2016I bought my family a new puppy a while ago and have since been checking out Kindle books on dog training. This one had a few unique tips that others haven't... actually right from the start Roman Millan mentions something that I have never heard before, that makes total sense, and that I have started to use with my family in order to establish a role of authority with our new pup. I won't reveal what that is here in the reviews, so as not to spoil the book, but the tip was excellent and for that reason alone I think this book is worth a 5-star rating, let alone the other great tips the author had to share.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 24, 2017I was not very impressed with this book for two reasons. The first being that it seems this book was not proof read. There is a lot of grammar mistakes. The second being only about 40 pages of useful information(only 49 pages total in the book). I guess I expected a little more in depth training ideas. The book reminds me of a thin children's book just a lot more expensive.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2016A couple of months ago, a friend gave me a puppy, and I was very excited since I always wanted a dog. Very soon after I've learned that dog needs more attention than I realized. This book gave me another point of view on the human-dog relationship, as I've looked at my dog as a family member, not an animal. The first thing I learned reading this book is that I need to act as a pack leader and how to take confident attitude. Also, another great thing that you can read in this book is how to potty train dog and walk on the leash. Overall, this is a good book if you have problems with your furry friend or you are total beginner like me.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2016These are different techniques than what I’ve managed to find over the internet and also in other books. Also the author’s views on dog training are also deeper. The book starts with training for the dog owner. I.e. it explains how to create a bond with the dog and become its leader.
The potty training techniques are rather in-depth and written in a stepwise manner, so that it’s easy to graduate from one training step to another. In fact all the instructions are written in a slowly graduating manner. These instructions put me at ease about training my pup. This book is also in a way like a training manual for the novice trainer.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2016I just began reading this book and within minutes, I noticed a grammatical error. Then a spelling error. Then another, and another. Irritating enough that I closed out of it. Disappointing. Can I get a refund!?!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2016Having a puppy is really overwhelming. I had a roommate before that has a puppy but as I can see her, she wasn't happy at all as it seemed like a big problem having a pup. I told myself, if ever I get a chance to have a puppy, I will train him/her and enjoy their company at the same time. I am glad I got the chance to read this book before getting my baby. I am about to get her by end of the month and I am excited. Thanks for the book, author! Recommended!

2.0 out of 5 stars Lacking in quantity and Quality
I cannot believe the cost of this book in relation to quantity and quality of content. It contains a mere 45 pages of quite large print and contains only the most basic of information. There is also a disclaimer at the beginning which refers to the information given as being for entertainment purposes.
There is a fine line between a booklet and a book. I personally struggle to call this publication a book due to its thinness and other limitations. There are also a number of spelling mistakes and numerous grammatical errors. I will seek to return this book and purchase Colin Tenants' Mini Encyclopaedia of Dog Training which a friend of mine has and which in my opinion is in an entirely different class.
Having said that the information given is simply put and easy to follow as a first read for someone who knows absolutely nothing about doggie behaviour. Its just not worth its cost.
