The Adam Cain Saga
Book #1: The Dead Worlds
You've heard of him. He's Adam Cain, The Alien with an Attitude.
Now he's back ... in a series of new adventures as a badass Human showing the galaxy who's the boss.
Accompanied by his buddies Riyad Tarazi and Sherri Valentine, Adam is struggling to make ends meet on a distant tropical world running Capt.Cain's Bar & Grill. The problem: They picked the worst place in the galaxy to run a legitimate business ... smack dab in the middle of lawless Dead Zone. Comprised of a hundred dead worlds left in the wake of one of Adam's old enemies--Kracion--The Zone is a gold-rush-like region of salvagers, pirates and scoundrels, all looking for their piece of the action. And in the center of all this activity is the oasis planet of Liave-3, the home of Capt. Cain's.
In The Dead Worlds: After a supply of prototype super weapons goes missing from one of the dead worlds, suspicion falls on Adam and his friends as the thieves. Our heroes find themselves being hunted, kidnapped and otherwise abused...until they say enough is enough. That's when the aliens learn the galaxy's most important lesson: You don't mess with the Humans!
The Adam Cain Saga takes Adam and his friends back their basic raw talents, as supermen among the aliens of the galaxy. Set in the familiar universe of The Human Chronicles, this new series rediscovers the wonder and excitement of the earlier books, when it was just Human vs. Alien. It also retains all the humor, witty banter and gritty realism of the first series.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2023The Adam Cain Chronicles begin on a worthless dirt ball of a planet that just happens to be the entrance to the Dead Worlds. The Dead Worlds were just that - dead. Some maniac with a huge arsenal had rampaged through this arm of the galaxy, raining nuclear weapons on the inhabitants of every world in his path. All that was left behind were - Dead Worlds. Liave 3 was now poised on the edge, far away from the radioactive wastelands to be safe, close enough that it made a good spot for outfitting prospectors willing to brave the radioactivity. With the right outfits, fortunes could be made salvaging the remains. So Adam opened up an outfitting store with a bar and hotel attached. The four humans (Jay was more often in the way than an active participant) ran the businesses and a small freight operation alongside.
Jay, desperate to prove himself, managed to find a cache of super weapons - lighter and 30 times as powerful as standard rifles, and surely worth a hefty price! The problem is getting them away from the owners!
Great characters, an amusing and exciting storyline, with a proven storyteller makes for a great read! Onward to the next in this beginning series!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2019The Dead World was a fun read. Lots of action and believable. Although the heroes suffered some major set backs, they prevailed. Always fun to read TR’s stories.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2023T. R. Used the tried and true formula with this book, but with a bit of a twist. With the last half of the almost 30 books, Adam had some type of extra beyond human super power to get them out of trouble. This go around it was all elevated/normal human advantage that won the day.
You would think that those aliens would learn, max setting on flash rifles when dealing with humans! For me this Adam Cain kicking but formula does not get old. As always really enjoyed this latest chapter.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2019Typical Adam Sherri and Riyad! They should’ve known that they couldn’t just hang out at the bar and hotel for long! At least Riyad recognized his loss of action! And they have to get back their ATDs! I look forward to the evolution of their new lives and adventures although I truly miss Panur and Lila! Perhaps they will be in touch? Always a fan!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2023Adam Cain and his two friends trying to live a (somewhat) normal life on a remote planet get dragged into a series of fights and misfortune. Along comes a new human to join the misadventures. In fact he is a big partof the problem. As they become involved in gun running and a possible war they meet some/ aliens trying to kill them. The humans are stronger, faster, and somewhat smarter than the ragtag enemy, one in particular is out o get them0
- Reviewed in the United States on July 1, 2020The wild wild west goes.sci fi. I missed the first faeries of humans whipping aliens but found this follow up to be quite enjoyable.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2019It's Adam and his buddies back at it again. Plenty of action but I wanted just a little more movement into the dead worlds. Eager for the next one.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2019Loved The Dead Worlds - yet another in the Adam Cain space opera series. The author knows how to weave a story with characters that you get to know and either love or hate while making you feel as if you're part of the story but safe from all the danger. You don't have to have a bag of peanuts or a towel to join in the fun - just buy the book, find a comfortable chair, sofa, etc. and start reading. If this is your first book in the series you'll still enjoy it but I would encourage you to grab the rest and really get to know Adam, Riyad, and Sherri along with the full universe of strange characters and beings the author's fertile imagination (and keyboard) have created.
Full disclosure - I enjoy the series and get nothing from the author for praising him other than the knowledge that when he is encouraged he will write more books for the series which will provide me with yet more books to read and enjoy.
