One Enchanted Evening Kindle Edition

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 127 ratings

Enchanted clothing has a mind of its own.

Restlessness plagued Charlotte Becker. Unable to settle down, she moved from place to place searching for an elusive something. A sudden invitation from her sister sends her across country to Sentinel Landing, North Carolina. Anchors abound by the sea, but surely nothing would keep her rooted in place in a pokey resort town during the off-season.

Drawn into a consignment shop named One Enchanted Evening, Charlotte is confronted by a mysterious article of clothing requesting her help to stop a man in a wolf mask from killing women. To protect the citizens of Sentinel Landing, she must find the hunter before an innocent is slain.

Luke Maddox’s hunting days are over. Wounded in action, he left the Marines to return to Sentinel Landing and start a new life. Then he meets a singular young woman wearing an unusual cloak. She tells an incredible story of a wolf that walks on two legs.

And the hunt begins…

I live in the South where the heat and humidity have driven us all slightly mad. I'm easy to spot as I'm the palest person around. I avoid the sun and love air conditioned comfort. On the plus side, my skin will never look like badly laid roofing shingles.

My favorite writing genres are fantasy, romance, and science fiction, but I'll read just about anything except technical instruction manuals. All my stories have humor and a touch of sass. In my spare time I enjoy phoning in Bigfoot sightings to the Department of Fish and Wildlife. They are heartily sick of hearing from me.

It took me two days to read this wonderful book. The perfect swirl of enchantment, fantasy and happily ever after. The story flowed very well, very descriptive and well written. I can't wait to hear what the next adventure is for Luke and Charlotte!!!

Fun little book. A woman gets a magic cloak and protects the town from a wannabe slasher. Romance happens. Breezy and satisfying.

I really enjoyed reading this well written fairy tale adaptation. The characters are fully developed and the well paced plot is unique, intriguing, and action-packed. I really want more stories in this world.

Lately I've been reading a lot of Prepper fiction. Call it what you will, the eclipse is in a few hours and things are just a little unsettled and weird in this world. I thought a nice story based on an old Fairytale would give me a bit of a reprieve. It worked!
There was drama and romance and magic and family issues and small town life all nestled it into a fascinating book. I found it hard to put down and way too easy to pick back up. There was housework ignored for a couple of days, oh well....
The editing was notable only for how lacking the glaring errors were. Smooth reading is such a delight. There were a few bobbles, but nothing I felt the need to puzzle out.
The best thing? I have a new author to follow! The waters a bit salty, but c'mon in, it'll be fine!

Totally enjoyed this book. Can't say if there were any grammatical or spelling errors, as the storyline had me too distracted to focus on anything else. Some might call it simple, but to me, it was completely enjoyable and had me attached to my kindle until I finished the entire book.

I do wish there was more about Charlotte, especially (spoiler alert) with her new ownership of Enchanted Evening.

I'll be looking for more books from this author.

There was plenty of action, good character development and a sweet touch of romance. The book is a quick read.

This was a decent and easy read, not too predictable, but not the most well-rounded story.
